On the Pond
Nothing to report on the novel this week because I’ve been working on three other things:
An interview with the incredible Michelle Tea about her new book Knocking Myself Up: A Memoir of My In(Fertility). I love Michelle and I loved this book and it comes out next week, so it’s not too late to pre-order! Will send out a link when the interview is live.
A few more edits to my nonfiction project, which I’m now calling a “memoirette.” (As a novella is to a novel, but memoirella doesn’t quite fit.)
Brainstorming for a new novel, a story my friend Anna and I are dreaming up together. It takes place on the pond and we’ve been talking about it for the better part of a year and the only thing really stopping me from diving in is that I want to finish a solid draft of this current novel first. But we’re here at the pond this weekend so it’s the perfect time to talk characters and plot and to do all the fun pre-writing daydreaming.
And tomorrow, back to the real world and back to the novel at hand!
